Roll and move makes a comeback with this simple party game? We review this re-release by CMYK, of taking an asymmetric zany racer, and rolling a D6 on your turn to move! It has no hand management and little dice manipulation within the race, but you will be drafting and secretly selecting your racers for each race! And one of the maps has spaces to make you trip or go forwards/backwards. Is this a bargain at only $30, or does the gameplay have too little agency for what it is?

"Bloodwork is a dark fantasy co-op board game for 1–4 players, set in a world shattered by the death of its Goddess and the cosmic corruption unleashed in her wake. Lead a party of Guild Mercenaries through a branching dual‑faction campaign, choosing to side with the Xalgaran Knights or the Orcish Tribes as your decisions reshape the missions ahead. Survive perilous travel filled with ambushes, relics, hazards, and fleeting opportunities. Face tense grid‑based battles where positioning, asymmetric abilities, and risk‑reward choices define every fight."
🔥 Storing board games shouldn’t be frustrating. It should be fun!
In this video, we take a look at a better way to store your board games — a system that helps with organization, setup, and actually getting games to the table faster, kind of. From awkward boxes and wasted space to messy setups shelf storage plays a bigger role than you think. And on top of that, why not make it all look amazing? Want to see how we achieved all of that? Watch the video!

Before Edward heads off to the Gathering of Friends tomorrow, he gets together with Martin the Elder, Paul, & Kyle to play some Great Western Trail. This isn't going to be high-level play, nor is it going to be as polished and structured as our usual show...this is just 4 friends getting together to play a game. So come hang out and chill with us tonight, yeah?
Think you can outsmart your mates, smuggle contraband, and talk your way past a deeply suspicious idiot with a badge? In this Sheriff of Nottingham board game review, we’re diving into one of the most gloriously sneaky bluffing games out there.
Expect lies, bribes, dodgy deals, fake promises, and the kind of table talk that can end friendships over a bag of illegal cheese. We’ll cover how Sheriff of Nottingham plays, whether it still holds up, how much chaos it brings to game night, and whether it’s actually worth your money — or just a load of smug medieval nonsense.
So is this a timeless bluffing classic, or just a wagon full of overhyped tat? Watch on and find out.

In this video, I unbox Baltic Empires, a new strategic-level wargame set in the early modern Baltic region. But this isn’t your typical unboxing ! As a developer on the project, I take the opportunity to go beyond the components and share insights into the design choices, development process, and production decisions that shaped the final game.
Baltic Empires is an approachable 2–5 player wargame where Denmark-Norway, Sweden, Russia, Poland-Lithuania, and Prussia compete for dominance through a mix of economic development, political maneuvering, and warfare. With asymmetric objectives and a strong focus on state-building, the game explores a transformative period marked by religious conflict, shifting alliances, and the rise of modern power structures.
As I go through the box, I’ll talk about how the system evolved, what we tried to achieve in terms of accessibility and historical framing, and some of the challenges we faced along the way.

Threaded is an upcoming strategy game from Osprey Games that combines gorgeous Bargello-inspired visuals with a smart, satisfying puzzle. In this preview, I take a look at how players collect thread, manage assistants, line up patterns, and create tapestries while chasing commissions and points.
What stood out to me right away is how Threaded blends cozy crafting vibes with sharp decision-making. The worker placement system has a fun queue element, the thread management is delightfully thinky, and the whole game is built around timing, planning, and making the most of limited resources.
If you enjoy puzzle-driven board games, beautiful production, and strategy wrapped in a fresh theme, Threaded is definitely one to watch.

Another excellent week for gaming, we got multiple games in with 3 players (Gazebo, Barrage, Hansa) then the rest we played at 2 players. Always a great weekend when one of our favourite ever games - Barrage - gets to the table 🙌🏻
I don't have the original West End edition from the 1980s, but I have both the Z-Man edition from the '00s and the brand-new crowdfunded Play to Z edition of the wondrous Eric Goldberg storytelling game Tales of the Arabian Nights. Let's compare!
