In the unbelievably 128th podcast we spend a surprisingly long time chatting about Vampire: The Masquerade - Vendetta, a game with as much blood as it’s got colons! This pink-hued game doesn’t take a rose-tinted view of the source material, which Quinns and Matt get deep into a big nostalgia blanket for. How sweet! Eventually we might even talk about the game. Episode 72: A War Of Whispers, Dice Forge, Raiders of the North Sea
In this episode we welcome back Conor to the BBQ, joining Steve and Adrian at the BBQ. In our Sizzling Games segment Adrian has been controlling armies from afar in A War Of Whispers, Conor has been praying for a God roll in Dice Forge, and Steve has been teaching his son the art of pillaging in Raiders of the North Sea.
In our topic of the week, the team discuss what it currently takes to get a game to the table, and what influences what games they play, or don't play.

Board Game Arena gets more and more of our gaming time, what with its snappy interface and minimal system requirements. The sound effects, though, are controversial. The community seems divided on whether the whooshes are pleasing or distracting, and whether the knock-knock-knock sound is charming or nerve-wracking. We have heard the noise accused of being evocative of imminent swatting, which seems excessive but potentially horrifying.
