#34: You Know the Rules and So Do I

20. September 2018 um 12:11

Board game rules, unlike other rules, were not made to be broken. They're to be strictly adhered to, trust me, this is going to be totally fun, there's just a few more things to go over and then we can start. Sometimes remembering and teaching rules can feel like a burden, so where's the line? Before we explain the turn structure, we discuss Dairyman, Riff Raff, and Lords of Hellas.

03:30 - Dairyman 07:12 - Blue Lagoon 09:00 - Riff Raff 10:49 - Lords of Hellas 20:24 - Board Game Rules 25:57 - Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team 32:38 - Gloomhaven 37:40 - Mage Knight 39:52 - Root 42:26 - Decrypto

Episode 167: War Chest, Massive Darkness and A Short Topic Extravaganza

19. September 2018 um 07:55
Tony was visiting home for a week and we got to have a big game day in which we played tons of games and Chris and Tony get into a tussle over explaining rules. Then Tony, Steve and Jamie give an overview and review of War Chest from AEG and Look back at Massive Darkness from CMON one year later. Then Tony T gives us the rundown of all the hot gaming news from around the industry. Then we wrap up with a short topic extravaganza in which we further discuss Unique Games and hear two sides of the argument, how we feel about overproduction and where we buy our games.

#38: Too Many Bones and Difficulty in Co-ops

Von: Pickaxe
18. September 2018 um 16:07
Sometimes, dear listeners, the news does matter, and in such instances our hosts feel under-equipped to address them properly. Such is the nature of crippling incompetence. I mean, they could have devoted their time to worthwhile pursuits (like playing games) but instead they shout into a can to strangers (about playing games). But sometimes circumstances demand a brief segue into matters of consequence, and so we here at SVWAG swear by the majestic mountains of Manitoba to do our best.
