This week I speak to the daddy of war gaming Mark Herman! We discuss what a war game actually is, working at the pentagon and Edward Snowden. But which games did he choose?
Multiplayer Solitaire doesn't have to be a bad thing! Sometimes we're just not always looking for high interaction, high conflict games, and that's okay. We break down some games with low interaction, and what makes them great. We also talk about Joraku, Impulse, and Wyatt Earp.
01:36 - Joraku 06:25 - Impulse 16:34 - Wyatt Earp 19:29 - BGB on Twitch! 21:18 - Low Interaction Games 28:32 - The Godfather: Corleone's Empire 29:31 - Karuba/NMBR 9 34:05 - Agricola 38:55 - Cooperative Games 41:33 - Azul 46:15 - Castles of Mad King Ludwig
The Lords are back from Origins and the gang discusses about how great gaming conventions are. Then Jess talks about her Shadowrun Games at Origins. We take a question from a listener regarding collecting information from about and knowing everything your players can do. Then we round out the episode with a discussion about giving experience to your players.
Due to technical difficulties episode 9 will be delayed till early next week. Sorry about that but thank you for patience and for listening.

This week we stumble on the terrible, horrifying fact that there are other hobbies than boardgames, and we take pity on those poor lamented souls who are enslaved in their thrall. Just what is scrapbooking, anyway? Walker has a theory, but no one is really sure. We should thus feel blessed that we chosen few enjoy the hobby that we do, and so we discuss ways to try to be decent while doing so.
