Join Conor, Jules and Adrian in this “all-aussie” pod as Adrian celebrates his citizenship.  No longer a Brit, but an Aussie through and through … as if he wasn’t already!

Adrian has been revisiting an old favourite and curing himself of the plague in Bristol 1350.  Jules has been wooed by a game about picnicking on plaid with ants in the new Bitewing Games title, Gingham. Coincidentally, Conor is also corralling six-legged insects in March of the Ants.  The crew also give a rundown on recent game days in all three states, their obsession with Riftbound and Conor chats about a small box hit he’s discovered.

In this episode, Banana, Adrian and Conor are in the mood to reminisce about a HUGE gaming weekend for Adrian’s 40th birthday. It wouldn’t be Oceania month without Matthew Dunstan, who is closing in on the title for the most guest appearances on the podcast!  In this episode, Jules and Joe chat about Matthew’s new YouTube channel, co-designing, and how he enjoys giving back to the board game design community.  We also hear about some upcoming games, the business of being a full-time board game designer, and which designer he’d like to co-design a game with!

Continuing on with our Oceania theme, Conor and Dana Banana are back and chatting to Aussie designer, Craig E. Somerton.  Craig is still on a high after a successful Kickstarter with his first published game, Farm Hand.   He talks about his journey in board gaming and designing, and in particular, his affinity for trick-taking games.  He even hints at his new design! 

As usual, when Conor and Banana get together, the episode is full of tangents that seem to go nowhere.  Somewhere in between, is the occasional nod to a classic game in Five Tribes and Agricola while Craig gives us his no.1 trick-taker of all time.

As this episode was recorded in a post Cyclone Alfred time-warp, there is no Question of the Pod, but still lots of laughs and gaming conversation to enjoy!
