Episode 6: Merchants and Marauders and Bringing Back Roleplaying in Role Playing Games

Episode 5: Halloween Special! Betrayal at House on the Hill and Horror in RPGs

In episode #5, the founders go into the Secret Cabal board game graveyard and unearth Betrayal at House on the Hill to give you a ghoulish walkthrough and a review. In Betrayal, the players cooperate to explore a haunted house, but look out! When the haunt begins, one of the players will become the traitor who will try and stop the players from achieving victory! Following the review Tony brings us the gaming news from the past two weeks. Then the founders have a round table discussion about Horror in Role Playing Games.

Episode 4: Cargo Noir and What Makes an RPG Fun From The Player's Perspective

In episode #4, the founders go into the Secret Cabal Library and break out Cargo Noir to give you a walkthrough and a review. Cargo Noir is a competitive game where players take the role of a smuggling organization. Players buy their way into ports, bidding out other players, in order to get access to the goods located in that port. Following the review Tony brings us the gaming news from the past two weeks. Then the founders have a round table discussion about what makes a role playing game fun for players.

Episode 3: Pandemic and Forbidden Island Reviews and Making of an Amazing Campaign

In episode #3, the founders go into the Secret Cabal Library and break out Pandemic and Forbidden Island. Pandemic is a co-op game where players race to cure plague outbreaks around the world. Forbidden Island is another co-op game but the same designer, Matt Leacock, where players race to recover hidden treasures as the mystical island sinks around them. For each we give you a walkthrough and review. Tony, once again, brings us gaming news from around the internet. Then the founders have a round table discussion about what makes a role playing game campaign fun.

Episode 2: 7 Wonders and Character Creation, Backgrounds and Party Cohesion

In episode #2, the founders go into the Secret Cabal Library and break out 7 Wonders, the city building, resource management card game to give you a walkthrough and review. Tony brings us gaming news coming from Spiel previews being held in Essen Germany later this month. Then the founders spend time discussing character creation, character backgrounds, and creating a cohesive party.

Episode 1: Carson City and Our Thoughts of RPGs

In episode 1 the founders go into the Secret Cabal Library and crack open Carson City, the gun slingin wild west city building and worker placement game, and give you a walkthrough and review. Tonys been on the trail of some hot stories for his news segment and then we sit down to have a veritable potpourri of role playing game stuff including DnD 4 vs previous editions, The Masquerade vs Requiem, Dragonlance when it was good vs Dragonlance the Age of Mortals and more.
