Can three ninja clans work together to trap a vengeful spirit before it’s too late? In this Onryō: First Seal board game review, I take a look at this cooperative strategy game for 1–5 players, where clever movement, spatial reasoning, and limited communication are the keys to sealing the Onryō.

Players must position their ninjas to manipulate the Onryō’s movement and eventually trap her, but every turn brings her closer to collecting the Yōkai she needs to win. The catch? You can discuss your plans, but you can’t reveal exactly what’s on your cards.
