I met a gamer from an antique land
Who said: “Two vast and trunkless legs of plastic
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
'My name is Cool Mini or Not, Kickstarter of Kickstarters.
Look on my pledges ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that Colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

In this episode Dan and Mike are joined by Amy and Maggie from Thinker Themer for a recap of GenCon 2022. Mike, Amy and Maggie share their convention highlights and detail all of the amazing games that we need to keep an eye out for in the coming months.

We also recap last week's Question of the Pod: What game did you expect to hate and then after you played it you went and bought it? Thanks to everyone who contributed and shared their experiences.

Finally, in Swear An Oath, Amy and Maggie fulfilled their oath from Episode 86 by playing Terraforming Mars, Mike played Clank! Catacombs at GenCon, and Dan defeated Dracula in Deckscape. New oaths include: playing five new games (Mike), Ark Nova solo (Dan), and Oathsworn (Thinker Themer).

Question of the Pod: Tell us about your most memorable moment from a Con or Board Game Event.
