Ambie and Crystal discuss a couple games they played recently, including The Light in the Mist and Fruitoplay. Then, we talk about ways we make our gaming sessions more comfortable in our older age.
It's about people, right? Below all the mechanics, after all the rules explanations, beyond every crushing loss and glorious win, what really matters is people we're playing with. Some games make that more apparent than others, and we're here to celebrate that. Before we realize it's about the friends we made along the way, we talk about Arcs, and Luthier.

In this bitter-sweet episode Def is hyped up to sizzle the space opera that is Arcs. It is also his final sizzle as he announces that he is leaving the podcast. So in honour of Def's departure, some of the original BBQ crew return to say goodbye.
Def has been such an integral part of the podcast since its inception over four years ago, and his insightful musings about this hobby will be sorely missed. Best of luck, Def. We love you, mate.
New Question of the Pod: What is your favourite 'Def' moment from the podcast?

Hark, Cabalists! Gather 'round, for today the Lords embark on a most wondrous journey through realms of imagination. They begin by weaving tales of the many role-playing adventures that Jess and Bender have embarked upon—no fewer than five, I tell thee! From the shadows of the Vampire Dark Ages to the desolate wastes of Fallout, these campaigns are brimming with peril and intrigue. But lo, the fellowship delves even deeper, pondering a question from a wise Listener: Should one approach the art of role-playing with the cunning of a strategist, or should one immerse fully in the emotions and desires of the character they portray? Verily, it is a question for the ages! Huzzah!

It is Festivus once again here at SVWAG, where we shall once again vent our collective spleen over features of games that irk us. Sometimes we will assert that our umbrage is righteous and ought to be shared, and other times we will concede we are merely motivated by idiosyncratic pique. Our feelings, in either case, shall not be denied.

Attending Gen Con 2024 is an exhilarating experience for any gaming enthusiast especially getting in that initial crowd rush going into the hall. For those that don’t know, it is held in Indianapolis and got started when D&D players got together over a weekend. It has grown into one of the biggest conventions for board games in the United States.
In this episode, we tell you about the events we attend and the new things we saw that will be coming to your gaming table soon.
