There is only one novel and commendable Kant pun, delivered in the novel and commendable film Hedwig and the Angry Inch:
"I got kicked out of university after delivering a brilliant lecture on the aggressive influence of German philosophy on rock and roll, entitled, 'You, Kant, Always Get What You Want.'"

Welcome back from our captivating interlude, “Screening, Streaming, and Steaming”! Now, let’s dive into our regular musings on the freshest board games. Brace yourselves as we explore two intriguing Devir titles—because, let’s face it, Devir rarely disappoints. But hold your dice! We’ll dissect not just the production quality but also the heart of gameplay.
And then there’s Queen Games, marching in with a new lineup tailored for family play. Picture lighter fare, like a sun-kissed afternoon picnic. But here’s my confession: Spatial relations? Not exactly my forte. So, fellow gamers, bear with us as we navigate these games together!

Episode 292: Discussion on Mental Health, Knarr, Let's Go! To Japan
This week Lauren, Dana and Jules chat about a really important topic - how mental health and board gaming affect one another. We dive into some personal stories, as well as sharing our thoughts on the positives and negatives of mental health in the board game space. After that, we get into some sizzles! Has Jules been leading a band of vikings? Knarr yeah. Dana has been feeding her travel bug pouring over the beautiful components in Let's Go! To Japan.
After that we've got the regularly scheduled Question of the Pod, and we make some new oaths.

What? Your podcasters are evolving! While we're certainly steadfast in some of our opinions (ahem, Biblios) we were curious to reflect on how we've changed - nay, grown - in the years since we started. What do we feel differently about with regards to the games we like, and how we approach the hobby? Before we moult, we also talk about Twinkle Starship, Pirates of Maracaibo, and Skyrise.

In my last episode's Closer I asked for feedback. Really, all podcasters ask for feedback in every episode. I'm no different. Well, I'm only different in that I've been podcasting forever, and many of my listeners have given me feedback over the years. Other than comments on Discord, however, it had been some time since I received much feedback, which is why I asked for it specifically. And if you'll indulge me, this episode's second half is all about that feedback, and my responses to it.
Before I get to that, however, I talk about a bunch of games played recently. I used to do this, what I called my "Session Report (SR) & Feedback" episodes. However, it's been a while since I published that kind of episode. How long? A decade! By my records, the last time was exactly 10 years ago, in episode 146 from the May 2014. Seems ok to do another. Closer: If it's been 10 years since my last "SR & Feedback" episode, what other old features of this podcast do you recall? Are there any I've forgotten? -Mark
Tom, Julie and Eric begin by recapping their recent travels, including Julie's trip to The Gathering of Friends and Eric's family trip to Washington DC and Philadelphia. Tom recalls the recent 36-hour marathon on the video chanel, which leads us into tips for playing several games in a row. We have a pretty darn horrific Tale of Boardgaming Horror, and finish the show with our Roses, Thorns, and Hula Hoops.

We are storytellers here at SVWAG. This week, we tell the stories of mismatched plagues with dead llamas posing as European dudes, of quixotic strivings for yet more skirmish games, of famous philosophers who hustled cards. Of course, if you wish to hear different stories, the power is yours! You have but to submit your questions for the upcoming Omnibus Questions episode, and all your idle demands shall be satisfied!
