We’re chatting about the trick-taking-twist of Inside Job, taking on a double whammy of family in CDSK and Fun Facts, and finishing up with two very different dexterity (?) games; Nekojima and Turbo Kidz.
In this first news episode of 2024 Ben and Steve thank the new patreon backers, answer your questions and Ben gets the lowdown on Wyrmspan from Connie Vogelmann and Aqua form Asger Granerud and Dan Halstad.
Ambie and Crystal discuss a couple games they played recently, including Almost Innocent and Vaalbara. Then, we talk about what our perfect board game day/night would be like!

A pretty solid rule of thumb is that if you've been disappointed in a kind of game, try David Thompson's version of it and see how delightful it can be. Hidden movement got you down? Sniper Elite is the cure. Abstract chunky tiled fighty thing didn't please? War Chest might please. Mediocre skirmish cramping your style? For What Remains is ready to serve. It's a good thing he has styles of games he hasn't explored, lest he just obsolete the remainder of the games industry. Give him time. He'll collaborate with everyone eventually.

On this untimely episode of the Shut Up & Sit Down Podcast, Emily and Tom are chatting about two cracking games with a little twist of nature in them - Forest Shuffle and Apiary! The former has you playing cards and building a forest, whereas the latter is 99% about moving a big plastic bee, I think? Awkwardly tucked away at the end of this podcast is, fittingly, Misfits - a stacking game with A GHOST!
We made it! We've arrived at last at the final ten(-ish) games, in fact, our TOP TEN (or so?) favourite games of all time. Thanks for joining us again on this yearly pilgrimage, as always it's the journey that's the important thing - but that's not to say that there isn't some exciting moving and shaking to happen at the destination. That said, it's time to pass out on the couch.

Matthew hosts a show, and as he also writes these descriptions it might also be the greatest episode we've ever done.
