Mark's trying to get us all into something he calls "sports", so as a compromise, we're doing a fantasy board game draft! We're going to pick games from the BoardGameGeek Top 100, until we each have five. Then YOU get to vote on whose draft is best, for a chance to win $50! Before we play to the crowds, we talk about Azul: Summer Pavilion, Roads & Boats, Ruthless, and Cthulhu: Death May Die.

Mark Dainty from Not Bored Gaming joins Jason to discuss the latest release from Stonemaier Games, Red Rising, It is a hand management and combo building card game, based on the sci-fi series for young adults by Pierce Brown. We get into a spirited debate about the game and also the nature of theme in games.
In episode 51, the Lords start out with Bender raving about his Star Trek Adventures campaign and then the gang discusses three pillars of building a strong role-playing adventuring party - building strong relationships, discussing player character ideals and developing shared long and short term goals.
If Walker doesn't want Mark to speak to excess, he really shouldn't be teeing him up by asking about Macross. Or Robotech either, because the difference thereto is a whole discussion unto itself. Of course, Walker is an accomplished troll, willing to return to any subject once raised. Mark has repeatedly been exhorted to not feed trolls, but really, that's just blaming the victim. At this point it's mostly just mutual trolling, like an ouroboros of nonsense. I think SVWAG might have a new tagline.

Episode 110 - Kompromat, Heroes of Land, Air and Sea, Dawn of the Zeds
On this episode Steve and our Sydney Team (Sarah and Mitch) pose the question: If you only could only have 10 games in your collection - how would you structure it, what games would you include, and how do you cull your collection down to just ten?
In our Sizzling Games, Sarah has been a Blackjack-playing spy in Kompromat, Steve has revisited the 4X epicness in Heroes of Land, Air & Sea, and Mitch has been exploring the complexities of the later levels in Dawn of the Zeds.
We wrap up last week's Bracket Battle match-up (Under Falling Skies vs Clans of Caledonia), and we set up the next duel: Teotihuacan vs Nemo's War.
Finally in Swear An Oath, Steve enjoyed the Uwe Rosenberg classic Le Havre. Sarah is continuing to play all of her unplayed games in 2020, still working on her 10x10 Challenge, and also managed to play Stephenson's Rocket. Meanwhile Mitch has every excuse under the sun as to why he still hasn't played Star Wars: Rebellion. New oaths for the team are Bonfire (Sarah), Hallertau (Steve), and to complete all levels of Dawn of the Zeds (Mitch).
Sizzling Games: Kompromat (03:20), Heroes of Land, Air & Sea (09:50), Dawn of the Zeds (27:20)
Topic of the Week: Curating A 10-game Collection (44:00)
Bracket Battle 2.0: Teotihuacan vs Nemo's War (01:14:00)
